OVERVIEW

Description

Unlike the other major banks in Australia, in 2011 NAB liberated all their home loan customers from all exit fees and 60% of other home loan fees. This suddenly meant hundreds of thousands of NAB customers were actually free to leave their home loan whenever they wanted. To bring the power of this newfound freedom to light, we decided to demonstrate the irrefutable truth that no one wants to be locked in – in any situation much less a home loan. To do this we created two scenarios were people suddenly found their freedom taken away. The two scenarios were called the ‘Job Interview’ and ‘Open House.’ In each one, people walk into a situation which they soon realise they can’t leave – being quite literally locked in. From there, things really began to escalate.
