Description
In November, 2004, IBM began the phased launch of a redesign to its website, www.ibm.com. The redesign incorporates a new visual design system and updates to the site's information architecture, including new task-based navigation and supporting technologies. Its goals include increased customer satisfaction and ease of doing business with IBM.The seven-month effort is the first major redesign of ibm.com in four years. Its scope encompasses the adoption and deployment of the redesign by 200 selected web properties across 1.6 million pages, in nine countries and six languages. Rollout of the redesign will extend to remaining worldwide ibm.com sites through 2005.
