Background
The film ran for a month, in Sep 2018, on TV. Broadcast at night and early morning hours. The audience was focused on women Ages 35-49, that suffer from insomnia.
Execution
In the commercial, a sleepless woman in her living room, spends the early morning awake and already knows the routine of noises and movements that happen around her. An airplane passes through, the change of minutes and hours of the alarm clock, the steps of a neighbor on the upper floor, a dog barking, a kid crying. The character walks around the house interpreting each one of the noises she knows very well.
With the message “the worst part of insomnia is not staying sleeplessly, it’s not waking up for the problem”, the commercial portrays the extreme conditions of people who have insomnia, and shows the alerts of Brazilian Sleep Institute.
