Food pictures have to look as delicious as the food itself.
But that’s impossible 99% of the time. Specially when eating at home or at work.
That’s why Deliveroo, UK’s Premium delivery service, launched the InstaMats.
A set of six photo-crafted placemats that will look good on any Instagram account.
Each one of them are made to a specific kind of meal, depending on what you’ve ordered: breakfast, oriental food, dessert, work dinner or study lunch.
The mats were distributed to influencers from Spain, Germany and the UK in a design-crafted acrylic box.
After posting their pictures, the influencers revealed the trick in a second post.
When people got to know the Instamats, it became an instant success.
People ordered their meals by the Deliveroo App and requested their own Instamats.
Making them finally look like actual #foodies on Instagram.
And making their food look like never before.
Execution
We’ve made placemats that are more than placemats. But carefully crafted photo backgrounds. All of them were made to make the dishes ordered from Deliveroo look more premium and the Instagrammer, more professional.
Outcome
After the influencers launched the Project, Deliveroo registered more than 30% of ordering increasement. All the first Mats were over by the end of the second week.
And more than 2 thousand post were made and shared about the InstaMats, exposing people to the brand.
