People who love NISSIN Fried Noodles U.F.O. love MANGA- Japanese comic books. Manga lovers have a keen eye for Manga and they tend to follow the story until it reaches an ending. To tempt our target, we created a gateway ad to the site by putting a one-page comic in the magazines and then a barcode for them to scan with their cellphones to jump to the site in order to find out the outcome.
Outcome
By creating a comic ad that our targets desperately wanted to know the ending of, the site recorded over 50,000 hits in one-day and succeeded in having 342,272 hits in total. As a result, the access cost was less than that for creating a banner for cellphone media. It also proved how powerful a magazine ad can be.
