Description
"The People's Cup" is a project that resulted in a 22-minute-long collaborative movie filmed around the world during the 2010 World Cup. It shows the excitement of fans in the 32 countries that took part in the tournament. In bars, homes and public squares. Filmed by 32 people who are passionate about football and film, the movie shows another World Cup. Neither games nor players are seen. Not a single ball is seen striking the net. Even still, this is one of the most exciting football games ever filmed.The People's Cup - Make your own film:Step 1: in the website, the user would click on the section: make your own film.Step 2: the user could enter any set of words he wants to create his own short film.
Step 3: The site would search "The People's Cup"'s footage library for images that translate the words. Now, the user could watch the film made up from the selected words. A film put together from 350 hours of raw footage, proving that the World Cup does belong to each person.
