The target group received only the top of a badly damaged parcel from a shipper called CBA Express (coincidentally the same abbreviation as Centraal Beheer Achmea). The box itself seemed missing. The shipper stuck an apology note on the parcel: “Unfortunately this delivery has been damaged. Please visit our service desk at www.cbaexpress.nl. Log in with your zip and parcel code.” A few seconds after entering these data online, an alarming message popped up ‘your parcel has not been found’, followed by the in the Netherlands well known Centraal Beheer Achmea pay-off: Just call us. Now it became clear that this was a hoax – and the recipient was free to enter the CBA post chamber where real parcels contained real prizes.
