OVERVIEW

Description

People in Japan are a game-loving bunch. The technique of "dual-screen," which involves fidgeting with a Smartphone while watching TV, has become a hot topic. This environment was suitable for creating an experience for users to gather in front of the TV with their Smartphone in hand.

Execution

REGAME is a mystery-solving platform that allows users all over the world to challenge the same mystery all at the same time. Volume One of REGAME was named "Escape from the Haunted House." In order to escape, users need to solve all the mysteries within an hour. By exploring three rooms and a dungeon, users get closer to the goal. The biggest mystery is that the dungeon itself is a crossword puzzle, and by calling one's phone, the last clue would be revealed. The idea comes from mystery-solving. It is a simple but strong entertainment that challenges one's intelligence and inspiration. Who would be the fastest mystery solver when the whole world starts tackling the mystery simultaneously?

Outcome

As a result, at REGAME, 500 out of 3,400 users from all over the world succeeded in escaping from the Haunted House. REGAME maintained the No. 1 ranking on Twitter Trends during the game.
