Jil is originally a French brand, produced at Kaabo company in Egypt, , the classic cut was actually rather popular as it was perceived as very comfortable, however there was a concern that Jil was over priced. All competition, which was more affordable, had bad quality material that wore out after a few washes, which forced consumers to buy underwear more often.A copy was created to clearly communicate that Jil will always feel as comfortable as ever regardless of the torture test it goes through due to its durability and high quality material.
