Description

The colors of the JTBC logo symbolize the company’s credo which defies any representation of certain color or narrow point of view. Using the JTBC brand identity as the design motive, various gradient colors, and the four color geometric units system was also applied to the space design.

Execution

First floor cafe is highlighted by a ceiling that translates the arcs and diagonal lines into a louver system, giving a supergraphical reading of their logo. Second floor Gallery for temporary exhibit functions to connect the visitor circulation from the first floor to the third floor while separating the employee circulation.Third floor Showroom is formed from a serise of cylinders that slightly overlap in plan to merge together

and create openings. The cylindrical wall creates an immersive exhibition environment while the openings reveal interesting glimpses into other parts of the exhibit.

Plus, Using the on-air JTBC brand identity graphics and colors, a flip-wall was installed behind the information desk and the first floor lounge area to illustrate JTBC’s graphic motion design.

Outcome

- In 2015, JTBC ranked first among the four comprehensive programming TV channels in performance evaluation by the Korea Communications Commission.

- In 2016, JTBC ranked first among the four comprehensive programming TV channels in KCCI (Korea Communications Commission Index) by the Korea Communications Commission

- Increase in building real estate value

- Start of JTBC company building tour opened to students and the public.

- The first floor café with multiple meeting rooms is used by production crews and casts.
