In order to achieve this highly stylized vision, the spot was shot deep into the night, allowing viewers to be led more authentically into our new world of Junk Sleep. There’s beauty and sadness here—we can feel it. And by emulating the look of film with the camera, we were allowed to create a timeless vision of sleeplessness—one that could just have easily been shot in the 1950s or 2022 but is still distinctly American. One that is as poetic as it is humorous
