Execution

We picked over a 100 objects around the city, and each object narrated a story that brought alive the Kathalaya promise of ‘There’s a Story Everywhere’. We treated each poster as a page out of a storybook. These were uniquely designed in keeping with its storytelling style and tone which ranged from simple rhymes to long fairytales and modern prose to plain conversations. These were then stuck on the objects with a simple sticker that gave the Kathalaya contact details. Posters were seen at schools, parks, gyms, residential areas, shopping malls, restaurants and 500 locations all across the city.

The stories came from our large database of writers from all over India. They can be found on our Facebook group: (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=41159811841&ref=ts) And their work is featured on our blog:(http://kathalaya.blogspot.com/)

Outcome

More children signed up for story-telling sessions and the parents and individuals who came across these stories were inspired to learn the art. Kathalaya received calls and emails with enrollments for the next story-telling session. As a result, registrations for the story-telling sessions increased by nearly 200%.
