For this spot, we were asked to take the simplest and humblest instrument of them all: the kazoo, and create a bombastic musical piece that plays as a group of kazoo players winds through city streets, drawing in more like-minded musicians into the fold as they go. The spot culminates as the group lands on stage with Big Freedia, her band and New Orleans brass orchestra in a giant crescendo - the song they’re performing is Freedia’s “Louder”.

A pre-score was created for the director’s, Traktor, to shoot to, which was an involved process of laying out all timings in musical story board form very early in the process.

Not only did we create the all-Kazoo arrangement of Big Freedia's track, that grows and shifts, but we had to then marry it with the actual master recording at the climax of the spot. All music, recording, mix, sound design.
