Description
A man talks to camera telling us about his missing daughter and pleads for her to come home, only to reveal he is actually her molester. “Help us keep her away from home” is the call to action from La Alianza.
Execution
First, we created a user account for La Alianza on Pinterest. Then, using existing pictures from other users, we added part of a real testimony of an abused girl thus putting together a ‘storyboard’ with the stories. Lastly, we added a link taking us to the website for La Alianza where people could learn more about the stories and have the opportunity to donate or adopt a doll.
Outcome
Thanks to a digital platform like Pinterest, we managed to capture the attention of many people and surprised them where they least expected. Although the campaign has only been launched for a short time, La Alianza’s Pinterest has accumulated many followers. The stories of child abuse were repinned, spreading all over social media. This led many people to the website and so began the donations.
