Execution

Racing is about emotion – and emotion is, among other things, created by sound. Especially when it comes to cars. So when it comes to electric racing, many people are sceptical whether the cars can create the same emotion as petrol-engine race cars. That is why in the film, we put a lot of effort into the sound design. All sounds around the simulator, the car’s gears, screeching tires and mechanical parts are supposed to feel analogue, raw and real. This is met by the turbine-like electric sound of the race car and an instrumental version of DJ Hyper’s track “FCKD”, creating a balance between the virtual and reality, just like the film itself.
