OVERVIEW

Description

The film documents a 48-hour voyage of a BP Shipping Vessel, from Flotta terminal in the Shetland Islands, to the Rotterdam terminal in The Netherlands. Whilst at the same time provides an insight into what life on board a BP Shipping vessel is like.

There is also acumen into the emotional rollercoaster for crew, including the highs of breath taking views and the surprisingly great food. As well as the emotional lows of being away from home and missing family and friends for long periods of time.

The documentary pays particular focus to the cultural quirks on board and how they contribute to the ‘togetherness’ and ‘team’ ethic and happy atmosphere.

The film follows the ship’s Chief Officer around, whilst we also hear from other key crew such as the Captain and Chief Engineer.
