OVERVIEW

Background

Volvo Cars is in a process of transformation, aiming for a spot among the top car brands. At the same time, against all odds, Sweden had qualified for the European Championship thanks to a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Our mission was to launch the new V90 wagon as the new family car in Sweden and Europe, while strengthening the Volvo brand and increasing brand preference amongst the target group.

Execution

Prologue was launched two weeks before the European Championship started to build hype and anticipation. Epilogue – Zlatans goodbye – was launched immediately after Sweden lost against Belgium, Ibrahimovic's final game for team Sweden.

The films were first published in Zlatan Ibrahimovic's own channels (Facebook, Instagram) and the in Volvo Cars Channels. Then followed press releases and traditional media.
