Description
We took this concept of the “positive affirmation” and distilled it to a simple two word brand platform: Make It. Make It is a message to the world that regardless of the means or the idea, anyone can Make It. This platform is also representative of our DIY philosophy; we believe that anyone can build a Squarespace website on their own.
Execution
To deliver a true positive affirmation to the world, we focused on being real. We wanted the execution to be real. We used a real customer with a real company and a real motorcycle–what’s more? A real stunt. Much of the production and execution revolved around Keanu Reeves actually doing the stunt himself.
Outcome
With over 200m impressions and 20m video views and counting, we had the biggest revenue quarter in company history. This campaign also had a big impact overseas. For the first time ever, our new customer growth in the U.K. is outpacing that of the U.S.
