Description

Super Brain is a major science competition reality show imported to China and has become a heat for the three seasons before. In the show, for instance, viewers can see some legendary contestants capable of identifying 520 cups of water that have the same quality, quantity, and source. Viewers also can see an extremely talented child who has such incredible hearing that he can tell the height from which a balloon fell by listening to the sound of it hitting the ground. We implanted our AI brain into the body of an AI robot to participate in Super Brain as a special contestant. Our AI competed against these talented human contestants in facial and voice recognition.

Execution

We integrated our brand into the show Super Brain, which is one of the most popular shows in China. There were three battles held during 2016.01.06-2017.01.20. In the first battle of cross-age facial recognition, our AI robot successfully recognized grown-up twins by referring to their childhood photos. This updated people’s understanding of AI and led to heated discussions. After three battles, we achieved two wins and one and our AI finally won the qualification to Brain King battle with the most talented person in China. 2017.4.7, the final battle was held and our AI won as Brain King.

Meanwhile, we designed a H5 with our facial recognition technology implanted. So people can test how smart our technology is. We also applied technologies which presented in the show to reality use: stopping human trafficking.

Super Brain is broadcast on Jiangsu Satellite TV, one of the most well-know TV channel in China.

Outcome

After three battles, our AI robot achieved two wins and one draw and finally won the competition as Brain King. Since then, industry experts and the public have praised its performance highly. After the episode was broadcast, the Super Brain battle between human and AI achieved the Number 1 audience rating in China, with over 220 million accumulated views. Reports by more than 300 media outlets contributed to powerful self-diffusing power at Weibo. Our robot has become an AI image loved by people and the public has recognized and appreciated our technologies. Meanwhile, accumulated web page views of the our technological experience exceeded 9.5 million, and views of our AI’s official website reached over 12 million; this effectively contributed to development of business cooperation and technical implementation.
