THE PIKOLIN ACOUSTIC HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN is a campaign against noise that has the goal of promoting respect for those of us who want to sleep and enjoy our Pikolin mattresses. WE CREATED A PROMOTION: With the purchase of your Pikolin mattress, you would get a 20% discount on soundproofing all of the window panes in your house. As a symbol for this campaign, we soundproofed a building in the noisiest part of Madrid. We made a documentary in which the residents of the building explained their problems with noise, and we measured the decibels both before and after the soundproofing. We got the campaign out using canvases on the building itself. We also created a website, www.quenadatequiteelsueno.es. On it, we explained the whole campaign and the soundproofing experiment. Plus, we created a music video about noise, and we made a map of the noise in Spain so that anyone who had a problem with noise could explain their case, so that everyone could find out about it.

Outcome

The CAMPAIGN OF AWARENESS ABOUT ACOUSTIC HEALTH created debate in the media about the noise problem in Spain. Through this campaign, Pikolin reached a level of notoriety never achieved before. Its brand recall went up by 70%, and sales increased by nearly 40%. The brand perception improved noticeably, and Pikolin became the preferred mattress brand for 2 out of every 3 potential buyers.
