Discover Your Own Taste.

In January 2015, McDonald’s Japan was faced with an unprecedented crisis. Allegations of using out of date chicken, foreign objects found in chicken products etc… resulted in a major loss of custom.

In May 2015, McDonald’s Japan revised the set menu so that consumers can select from more than 1000 menu combinations.

However the trial of the new menu was not as successful as initially expected resulting in zero increase in sales, which was due to the conservative nature of Japanese consumers, who continued to purchase their favourite food items from the set menu.

Try a McDonald’s different from your usual

We want consumers to see/experience a new face to their familiar McDonald’s.Everyone has been to McDonald’s at least once, and everyone has their ‘usual’ that they choose. This may appear to be a good thing, but it also means that purchase patterns are not varied.

Execution

The system has more than 25,000 banners and an infinite number of combinations possible for the landing page. With GOOGLE cooperation, the entire system can be reviewed, with direct connection to advisor, higher bidding settings and output consumption.

These innovative new systems allowed for infinitely faster creative output.
