The 60-second spot begins with the voiceover saying, “This is how meningococcal meningitis can look, just 24 hours before it claims a child’s life.” At the same time, we see several different healthy and happy-looking kids as they smile, play and hang out with each other. The commercial then shows the same adolescents playing football, sharing a drink, chatting in front of a school locker. The voiceover shares how meningitis can be spread from certain common activities like, “a sip, a first kiss,” and that “its symptoms can seem like the flu, but in a single day a life can be lost.”
