We convince the competition of the new Actros and show it to everyone on YouTube. Therefore we offer a test-drive the market has not seen yet: we send the new Actros to the MAN and Volvo Headquarters in Munich – as a taxi. The taxi service Isarfunk transmits incoming calls from MAN and Volvo directly to the Actros taxi which then collects passengers from the MAN and Volvo headquarters. The ride is caught on video with hidden cameras – and so are their reactions of how much they liked the truck.
Outcome
The result: All relevant trucker magazines in Germany wrote about the event. Blogs and the social web took on the idea. Over 700,000 YouTube views make it the most successful viral in the truck market so far. On top of that, the taxi was ordered again: by many Mercedes-Benz dealerships worldwide.
