To demonstrate that the Intelligent Light System makes hidden road risks visible, we created an interactive billboard that does the same to deliver its message. Without illumination it just showed random rocks mounted on the board. But when someone passed by, a light switched on and the stones cast a legible shadow pointing out an upcoming danger. The billboard interacted with passers-by and literally put the feature in the spotlight.
Outcome
The installation was a real eye-catcher on the street and demonstrated Mercedes-Benz's innovative competence not only with the message but also with the use of the media. It caused inquiries at local Mercedes-Benz dealers and was shown on several blogs throughout the creative web community.
