OVERVIEW

Description

The background: For the first time, from September 28th to October 1st, 250 of the most beautiful vintage cars drove through the east of Germany to Berlin. The Mercedes-Benz Stern-Fahrt (Stern stands for star - the brand's logo, Fahrt means tour) covered five different routes, each leading to the heart of the German capital. The task: The website's goal was to provide all information about how to take part at the Stern-Fahrt, to accompany the event's preparation, the event itself and to serve as documentation of it afterwards. Thus communicating the fascinating tradition and history of the brand, and in doing so, improving the brand's image in the east of Germany. The solution: Presented as an old-fashioned photo-album, the website invites the user to dive into the history and experience of the wonderful world of vintage cars now and back when they were built. The focus was more on the human behind the wheel than on the mere history of the brand. The site provides information about the cities that were passed on the tour, about historic races and drivers that are historically bound to the area and star of Mercedes-Benz.
