Background

Situation:

Dengue is one of the lethal endemics in Thailand. According to the statistics from the department of disease control, ministry of health, more than 1,237,467 of Thai people are dengue victims. However, this number still does not make Thai people aware of the threat, as dengue has been around for so long that it makes Thai people became used to it.

Brief & Objective:

Create public alert and raise awareness on dengue individual and community risk by communicate to underline burden of disease.

Idea

Instead of using the number of victims 1,237,467, to tell in an ordinary way. It

may not be able to create an impact as much as bringing those data to visualize until

becoming a mysterious little girl named Ingma, a virtual human created from those

data to warn Thai people about dengue fever. and with novelty in storytelling As a

result, Ingma draws people's attention back to recognizing the dangers of dengue

fever again.

Strategy

From the research on Thai behavior, we found that whenever celebrities are victims of dengue fever, the awareness of dengue fever will increase immediately.

So this year instead of warning Thai people to watch out for dengue fever as usual. that they already know. We gathered data from 1,237,467 dengue victims to generate "INGMA" The Virtual Human who was created from the real victims to warn Thai people that dengue has never really gone away. But there are new victims every year

Execution

When Thais are used to dengue fever, the way to warn people must be something different. We bringing the data of 1,237,467 victims to life by creating INGMA virtual human that was launched the online film on ASEAN Dengue Day. Moreover INGMA will go out to warn that every area are at risk of dengue fever through out of home media such as billboard by using the real victims number that generated according to local area to make people aware that there are dengue victims in every area and you are at risk as well.

Outcome

Message from INGMA ignites the trend of dengue fever back again. There are more

than 52% have organically shared their experiences of the severity of dengue fever

under video posts and #เรื่องจริงจากอิงมา (Message from INGMA) and the word "dengue fever" is in the top search trends which make Thai politicians and leader brought up the story of dengue fever to discuss until becoming a national agenda.
