Nintendo of America needed an online experience to promote their newest instalment to the Metroid series, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes.
The Metroid game series carries a 19-year legacy with a devoted fan base, so our site design would need to cater to that established audience as well as be engaging for someone interested in trying out the game. The goal for this site was not meant to be informational; instead the idea was to create an immersive user experience that was primarily engaging. The promotional site made use of 3D rendered environments, and powerful ActionScripting techniques to create a game-like interactivity.
