Description

TODO is a fun cake brand with bold humor. This was established through an earlier launch campaign with a “genie” with attitude! They decided to launch their mini-size category. The idea was: since a genie used to appear to whoever eats TODO then, most probably, when you eat a mini TODO a “mini” genie or a midget would appear! The director, instead of using the Chroma-key technique, decided to make the mini-genie in camera. Two performers were used to make every genie character. The one in the front performs the genie’s head, abdomen and his hands are the genie’s legs. The second one, at the back, performs the genie’s hands. The performer at the back used to wear black suit and was Luma-keyed out in the post phase. A lot of rehearsals were made to train them on the synchronization between the hands and legs of the mini-genie. The whole set was built one meter elevated from the ground and adapted to make the idea work. (A making-of clip is attached)
