Description
Mieko, a Japanese manga artist, have been suffering from assumptions and prejudice by her surroundings. "It sounds hard to become successful in the manga industry", "A woman drawing boys' manga?"
Even though people are criticizing her occupation, Mieko continues to draw action manga in a boys' magazine to pursue her dream.
One day, Mieko's daughter makes her realize that Mieko also has an unconscious assumption towards her own father. Father's unchanging personality brings back her memory that her family always loved her, supported her, and believed in her potential.
Assumptions that everyone can have might suppress the potential and happiness of your important people or maybe even yourself. This short film makes you realize the importance of getting rid of an assumption.
*manga is a Japanese word for comics
