More 4 wanted an ad that helped contextualise the films of Ken Russell for a modern audience. By using the man himself as a linking device between recreations of some of his most famous scenes, the filmmakers were able to create an intriguing and compelling spot that referenced Russell’s status as one of British Film’s most visionary directors.
