OVERVIEW

Idea

We have the most engaged and hyper-connected audience across all social platforms. What does that really mean for B/R? Our followers like, comment, share, interact and engage with our content more than any other sport publisher in the world - including ESPN, Barstool and the likes. This is ultimately the difference between having an active and passive audience.

B/R owns dynamic tentpole brands including House of Highlights, Game of Zones, B/R Kicks and B/R Football, allowing us to continue driving conversations with Millenial and Gen Z fans of all different backgrounds and cultures. We’ve understood that it’s necessary to diversify our method of distribution in order to reach our fans where they live, breathe and consume their sports. This gives us an unparalleled ability to communicate with our fans like these youthful generations communicate with their ‘crews’.

Strategy

We live in a world where everyone’s social feeds are jam packed and overcrowded with friends, family, brands, ads, media and news. If you don’t stand out, you’ll get left behind.

Our best-in-class content allows Bleacher Report to dominate the sports content world. We’ve brought together talented and premier creators of all backgrounds, ages, and upbringings in order to create the best experience for ALL sports fanatics.

Our team operates 24/7 all over the world - SF, London, NYC. We bring fans the quickest and best alerts in the business - nobody gets your sports news faster and more accurately than us. All while creating a voice and community that you share with your best friends.

When a young star NBA player (Dennis Smith Jr.) learns he’s been traded to another team through a Bleacher Report alert before informed by his team - that’s all the proof you need.

Execution

B/R lives and breathes as the heartbeat of today’s sports fan. By combining our team’s own passion for sports culture with an unwavering commitment to utilizing data, creativity and risk, we own the hearts and minds of the Millennial and Gen Z sports fans, and deliver the best experience possible. We combine unparalleled sports programming with an unparalleled mobile app experience and unique and hilarious talent creators. We offer viral and original content series including our animated GoT parody, Game of Zones, and Take It There with Taylor Rooks, one of the most dynamic young sports commentator stars.

Our portfolio superservices all of the super fans out there; created with the idea that no matter who you’re a sports fan of, you will get the most accurate, the best, and most entertaining content possible. A premiere media company, with a plethora of talented writers, video producers, podcast supervisors.

Outcome

Bleacher Report remains the No. 1 sports media brand for today’s fan, reaching more than 200 million hyper-connected millennial and Gen Z sports fans each month. This past year we ranked as the No. 1 sports brand on all of social media with the most cross-platform social engagements. We were the 2nd most engaged with feed on Twitter in 2018 only behind President Trump. Two of our accounts, Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, were in the top-10 of most engaged accounts on all of Instagram, registering 1.25 Billion monthly video views and 350 Million social engagements. Bleacher Report and House of Highlights created 19 of the top 20 branded content videos on Instagram in 2018.
