Ever wonder what goes on in your mom’s head? Mom is always working and always second-guessing herself. But she is brilliant and beautiful. On Mother’s Day, we wanted to be #JustLikeMyMother. Our simple video dramatized the self-inflicted guilt trip in every working mom’s head. So we gave moms everywhere a much deserved thank you for everything by breaking up those negative thoughts.
Execution
Our video was launched solely on YouTube in May 2015 with a simple hashtag to get the conversation started– #JustLikeMyMother. The campaign was promoted by AVON’s Insider Twitter account and adapted for regional markets across the world based on segmentation, including Twitter contests using the hashtag (AVON India), touching stories (AVON New Zealand, South Africa, Philippines, and Venezuela), and celebrity engagement from celebrities like Fergie and Lucy Hale.
Outcome
#JustLikeMyMother reached 89,761,096 consumers globally on all major social media platforms in over 17 languages. Celebrities including Fergie, Irina Shayk, and Lauren Anderson shared the video on their personal accounts, applauding the initiative.
This simple thank you resonated with millions users who engaged with the video directly.
