Background
Our primary goal was to generate interest among a younger audience, aged under 35, for Prime Video's latest release, the series Gen-V. This show is a spin-off of The Boys and shares the same witty and irreverent humor as the original series. Therefore, our aim was to use these elements to attract existing The Boys fans towards watching Gen-V as well. To achieve this, we decided to highlight the unique and amusing powers of the show's characters, which we believed to be the series' greatest asset.
Idea
Prime Video was launching a new series about young superheroes who are in college to learn how to control their naughty powers. Our job was to promote it and make Gen-Z fans interested enough to watch the show. So, to present the series and make everyone talk about it, we decided to give college students powers so they can use them in the same naughty way that Gen-V characters. We brought to life the series' famous fast-food restaurant, and gave it a sweet spin creating the My Supe Tasty: a combo 100% made of pineapple to make bodily fluids sweet. The combo had a pineapple burger, pineapple chips, and pineapple juice and was delivered by our food truck at the main Brazilian colleges. People went crazy about it and the series premiere was sweet: 97% approval on rotten tomatoes.
Strategy
Recognizing our target audience as young individuals under 35, we devised a strategy that resonated with their interests and conversations. And a very common topic among them is naughty topics. And within the theme of naughtiness, a subject that often comes into discussion is the power of pineapple to make bodily fluids sweeter (it does, proven by doctors). A power almost as naughty as the powers of the Gen-V characters. That's why we created a combo that proved the power of the fruit and gave fans the power to be super-irresistible.
Execution
To launch My Supe Tasty, we developed an original recipe in partnership with a chef to find the perfect balance between flavor X pineapple quantity in the combo items. In parallel, we created the entire visual ID, considering the aesthetics of traditional burger joints, comics (which permeate the superhero universe), and our special ingredient: pineapple.
Combo ready, a food truck from the original series' burger joint, took My Supe Tasty to students at major universities in Brazil. In just 3 days, thousands students participated in the action.
For those who couldn't make it to the activation, we launched a film inviting people to try the combo at home and revealed our recipe so everyone could make their own My Supe Tasty combos. We also invited Diogo Defante, one of the biggest comedians in Brazil, to make the recipe on his cooking show.
