We created a cover of the iconic ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong, to tell a story of hope and ambition. It needed to be cinematic and emotional, while also fitting perfectly into the scale and prestige of the film.

The challenge was finding the right balance between the powerful, emotional, epic and experimental elements of the track, and the brightness and hope that we wanted to convey.

We also had to split our adaptation into two parts : first, a dystopian mood which mimics many of our modern mega cities, followed by glorious scenes exploring The Line, which convey the soaring of the human spirit.

We leveraged a well-known song that everyone associates with joy – with the final result striking the right middle ground between grandiosity and hope for the future. A reminder that, even when the future seems dark, we should always aim for the light.
