Supported by traditional media, firstly PR which included an offline and online seeding pre launch campaign strategy three months before the launch date. Pre launch TV, Outdoor including digital, Press and Online through out the month of April 2008. Followed by a Global Launch Event in LA 28th April. This was also accompanied by further launch activity of TV, Outdoor, Press and Online from 29th April onwards on a Global level. Ambient and Instore communications launched on 29th April 2008.

Outcome

It was LG’s most successful global launch ever. Sales targets surpassed by as much as 300% and generated $83 million in free publicity.
