Background

When the unknown appears, adventure calls. Finding opportunity in the unfamiliar has been synonymous with the Burberry story from the very beginning, with our founder Thomas Burberry enabling the boldest adventurers of his time to journey beyond. From yesterday’s explorers to today’s pioneers, Burberry continues this legacy with a film that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. A celebration of the joy and opportunity found in fearlessly embracing the unknown. Burberry outerwear fits those who find joy in dancing with the unknown.

Execution

The project was conceived, written and directed by the Directors, the timeline for such a project is therefore 7 months from conception to release. This obviously provides immense creative freedom and opportunity to totally curate all aspects of the film but also huge expectation to convey strategy, brand messaging, product placement alongside the arresting narrative and impeccable visuals.

This spot also rounded out the trilogy of films for this campaign, all of which they have written and directed.
