Background
Spring is that time of year when pests are waking up from their winter slumbers ready to eat, mate, and invade homes.
Orkin, a pest control company, wanted to help people protect their homes from these common spring invasions.
So, we created a campaign that helped people see these invaders for what they truly are – terrifying. We knew that if people could come face-to-face with pests’ beady eyes, wiry antennas, and tiny yet deadly fangs, they would do anything to keep them away.
To develop the campaign, we worked with a photographer who specializes in microscopic insect photography to customize some of his images in a fun and unexpected way.
Together, we created nightmarish images of spring’s most notorious pests. We helped people realize in extremely uncomfortable detail how terrifying pest invasions are and had them running to their phones to make an appointment with Orkin.
Execution
We utilized macro photography techniques to create excruciatingly detailed images of common spring pests.
Outcome
Everyone who saw our campaign was terrified and Orkin saw an increase in home inspection requests.
