Description

As part of Nike's “Gear Up“ campaign, the brand pays homage to the spontaneous spirit of play and of summer in an ad dubbed “Short A Guy.“

In this spot one haphazardly organized pick-up game leads to another. We follow a lucky young player who experiences the ultimate day of pick-up sports by being yanked into impromptu games with some of best athletes in the world—from playing stickball with Major League Baseball MVP Mike Trout to soccer with the legendary Mia Hamm and catching passes from Colts superstar Andrew Luck on the gridiron.

He finishes his wild day with Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, who delivers the line of the commercial: “Hey kid, we’re short a guy—wanna play?”

The ad, which features a vast number of Nike products, ends by telling viewers to “gear up” on Nike’s website.
