We designed erasers featuring a picture of a menacing fist on one side to symbolise how we can all play a role in erasing violence against women. The other side featured a call-to-action with WAO’s telephone number. These erasers were then packaged and sold to WAO’s partners, college students and the general public, with proceeds going back to the organisation.
Outcome
The message rang clear, demand exceeded supply and the first batch of 2,000 erasers were sold amounting to USD1,852.22 worth of proceeds that went into the further funding of WAO’s efforts. Due to increasing demand, the second batch is currently being produced. Some people have even put them up for sale on e-bay.
