Old Smuggler needed to increase brand value without losing the link with consumers in a more popular sector. That’s why the commercial has a hero, who just like Old Smuggler, has a sophisticated side shown in his style and appearance but also a simple side, which can be seen in his popular remarks and their inherent sense of humor. At the end, we find the concept putting both sides together: Simply distinguished.
