On a stormy night the Sphinx guarding the Opera House opens its eyes. An old car rushes past. The windscreen wiper like metronome lets Faust see the figure of Marguerite, who disappears.

We follow Faust in his quest for a mysterious woman who keeps appearing in different forms. His search leads the viewers through the building where he keeps seeing several iconic characters of this dream world.

At one point, the world turns upside down. When Faust hits the floor, he sees the Prince turning his face with the imprint of the dark side of the swan towards the stranger disturbing the tragic idyll.

Our hero meets King Philip II, and his wife, Elizabeth. Her mouth opening in painful cry or laughter opens up the whole universe: between pain and joy a ghost star-ship floats.

Among the flying artists and ballet dancers on the stage we meet Faust again, and we see the eternal woman in space through his telescope. Slowly, the parapet becomes clearer, the stars become the lights of the auditorium.

We are at the Opera, where everything is possible – where a world unfolds.
