Description
Our Girl has popular youth led talent (which we didn’t have access to) and we wanted to tell a story in a fun and interactive way to bring in a new youth audience with a sub story plot
Execution
We worked closely with the show script writers and we also contacted the parents of the key talent to have family photos to create a mobile phone takeover, showcasing all the apps the character would have to weave a story along side the main TV narrative
Outcome
Our Girl was one of the most loved BBC shows for a youth audience, this asset along with the digital campaign reached over 3.5 million people and helped change the perception of the BBC for a younger audience
