To showcase the orchestrated complexity of the intermodal process, we collaborated with Reuben Wu of Ladytron to produce “Over 20,000 Containers, 2,000 Routes.” The video uses live recordings from an Intermodal terminal to create an audio-visual performance, weaving industrial sounds into a tightly mixed musical composition. From PSFK: “Through this video, you get a sense of the intricacies of the entire freight network – and may even be excited and interested in an industry that’s typically a snooze for most.” In addition to the mixed track, organic sound captures from the composition were uploaded for use by the SoundCloud community.
Outcome
Our campaign resulted in over 600,000 video views across Youtube, SoundCloud and, and GE.com. Plus, the feature video was picked up and profiled by key publications, ranging from creative press (Fast Company, PSFK, Gizmodo) to shipping industry trades (Fleet Owner).
