Description

When the animal shelter MaxMello found Pat, she had been abandoned, chained and starving, by her former owner. How to show her that there are still good people in the world? We took Pat to spend a whole day getting love from people and therefore change her perception of humans. The idea touched not only Pat, but millions of Brazilians, including singer Luan Santana, appointed by Billboard as one of the world's 50 most popular music artists on the social networks. Luan got so deeply involved with the cause that he featured our effort in his new video release. The buzz that the idea generated ended up getting 22 million people exposed to it through spontaneous media, helping MaxMello, the animal shelter, receive 9 tons of pet food, plus a whole year's worth of vaccines and a 1,200% increase in donations.

Execution

On November 16, 2013, Pat was taken to Villa Lobos Park in São Paulo, where she spent all day getting love from people. In a few minutes, dozens of people approached her. A month later, the video for the effort was posted on the shelter's fanpage, generating an instant buzz on the social networks.

Outcome

The story touched singer Luan Santana, appointed by Billboard as one of the world's 50 most popular music artists on the social networks. Luan got so deeply involved with the cause that he featured our effort in his new video, released on Brazil's most popular morning TV show. All the buzz that it generated led to 22 million people exposed to the campaign through spontaneous media. The shelter reported a 1,200% increase in donations, and received a donation of 9 tons of pet food plus a whole year's worth of vaccines.
