Pepsi gave ultimate control to its fans by giving consumers the opportunity to create the company’s can packaging. Welcome to the Pepsi Can Studio. Within this 3D gallery, users are given a variety of tools, templates and techniques to build the look for over 500 million cans nationwide. Over 91,000 designs were submitted in 42 days, averaging 2,178 cans per day. The site attracted over 1,100,000 visits with 740,170 unique visitors. Due to the site’s success, Pepsi extended the experience so that every can in 2008 will be created by consumers from this site.
