We came up with mouse pads – with a wrist support made of special material and containing the fragrance. These mouse pads were put in upscale cafes offering complimentary computer time with internet access.When they opened the web browser, a splash page greeted and informed them they are about to sample the new fragrance. Then they were instructed to lift their right arm and smell their wrists.
Outcome
Lisa Hoffman Mouse pad idea helped drive traffic and inquires about the brand via website (320% increase in website traffic over a 2 week period from just 5 installations on launch).Requests for samples or brochures were unprecedented and requiring the client to print more sales collateral for direct mailings.Sales figures showing a healthy boost of 135% for the first two weeks since the campaign started. More installations are planned to roll out in the coming weeks and the client is requesting another production run of mouse pads for a larger roll out.
