Description

This is a TVC for Pinoys, by Pinoys. A mirror and a homage to Pinoy basketball, from the streets to the courts to the makeshift hoops hanging off every pole and wall around the country.

A country where basketball knows no boundaries. And a population that over and over again has demonstrated how they never back down despite all the adversity and misfortune that has afflicted the population.

Inspired by national hero Manny Pacquiao, basketball legend Alvin Patrimonio, and up-and-coming stars Kiefer Ravena & Jeron Teng, we wanted to represent the essence of Pinoy basketball and make Pinoys everywhere feel proud of their game.

#PlayPinoy is a call to action for all Pinoy’s to get out onto the streets, and play their game, their way, the way only Pinoys can.

This message is punctuated by the soundtrack of the TVC featuring lyrics from Frank Sinatra’s version of My Way, widely regarded as the unofficial national anthem of the Philippines. It represents the pride that the Filipinos take in doing things their way. It is the essence of the Pinoy way of life.
