Description
This spot features an office in a world without electricity. In this instance one office worker sings a well known song with the wrong lyrics. This causes a discussion amongst his co-workers over what the correct lyrics are. They all have differing opinions, but ultimately there’s no way for them to know for sure because, without power there’s no internet for them to check to find the answer.
Execution
BC Hydro demonstrated that they practice what they preach by creating a series of motion activated backlit posters that only used electricity when people were around to see them.
Outcome
The sensor boards are part of a campaign that has met with unprecedented success. It’s attributed with convincing 84,000 additional households across the province that they should be doing more to conserve electricity.
