Execution

It all started with a told-so tournament game, we organized our crew for the surprise. Then we surprised them with Player Mascots (Escorts), UEFA flags, huge crowd waiting to cheer and one of football’s finest referees, Pierluigi Collina. We collected the video of this great content and used as an attraction tool for our target audience. We posted the video on our social channels, linking users to our campaign website and giving them a chance to win tickets to the Final Game in Berlin. We supported this with continuous social media communication, display banners on sports and news platforms.

Outcome

As a result; not just Turkey, but also the world, fell in love with this beautiful football story. The video spread throughout the internet instantly and organically without any “push” from MasterCard. It was picked up by international and local media. Featured on thousands of football blogs from UK to Russia, from Italy to Indonesia.

The Priceless Match has been the most organically watched video of MasterCard’s history and tripled all our KPIs. 16+ million video views. 80% of it is organic. And more than $1m free media coverage was generated. Our campaign website had 190K+ Site Visitis and we succeeded a total of 23m Campaign Reach.
