A mailing for Range Rover’s top model. From the materials used in the finishing, to the colours of the interior and the monogram of the buyer, each car carries the signature of the respective owner – a truly unique piece of art. Its name: Range Rover Autobiography
Execution
Each recipient receives his very own autobiography. Since the book hasn’t been written yet – just like the car hasn’t been built yet – all pages are blank. Only the title already exists: John Q. Public – Autobiography. Sent out as a book post without any brand logo the mailing also contains a photo-documentary introducing the car.
Outcome
This book's a bestseller: The response rate was average only (2.5%), but the mailing scored extremely in terms of conversion: No less than 74 cars were sold.
